Convenient installation and operation

wherever very small or transparent objects need to be detected in confined installation conditions, the use of fiber optic cables is the best choice. With the OCF fiber optic sensor, this technology can be used even more easily and reliably.
Two spring-loaded latches allow the OCF to be mounted on a top-hat rail with one hand. The fiberlock system simplifies the mounting of the light guides. After selecting one of the six operating modes and the intelligent maintenance functions, the OCF then works reliably under all conditions, contributing to high system performance and availability.

Detection of small parts

Screws in a spiral conveyor

  • Task: Checking whether the rail is full for further processing.
  • Challenge: Small parts and limited installation space due to guide rail.

  • Thanks to focused optics and very small light spot diameters, every single part can be detected. The parts can also be counted using IO-Link.

 

Detection of very fast objects

Bottling line

  • Task: Checking the bottle feed and the presence of a cap.
  • Challenge: The bottles move at very high speed.

  • Dual channel enables not only the fast-moving bottles to be detected, but also diagnostic functions to be used simultaneously via IO-Link.

 

Detection of objects that are difficult to recognize

Fill level monitoring
